After couple of days straightaway noticed EPC and check Engine light always on when ignition is turned on and goes away when engine started. Took to a local garage and engine diagnostics showed P036600 error- Camshaft Position sensor "B" Circuit, Bank 1 Range/Performance.
I've had the EPC light come on three times while owning the car: 1) at ~500 miles while driving up a hill at ~20mph and adding power. 2) at ~4000 miles while driving on a flat road ~20mph and adding power. 3) at ~8180 miles while exiting a 90 degree turn at 15mph and adding power to accelerate. In all three cases, the EPC light was thrown and
EPC light comes on after driving for a couple of minutes. Car (Fabia 1.4) always starts first time. When the light comes on it takes all the guts out of the engine and you crawl along. Depressing the accelerator makes little or no difference. Re starting sometimes makes the light go out and you continue as normal for another couple of minutes. When the EPC light is on, it means the system has detected a fault. The check engine light is a more general indicator that comes on when your car’s on-board diagnostic system has detected a problem in the engine control or exhaust system. This can indicate a variety of problems, from a loose fuel cap to a faulty catalytic converter.

One of the most common problems in today’s cars (especially used ones) is the dreaded check engine light problem. Unlike other warning lights on the dashboard, which come up for a very solid reason ( low oil level, coolant level, etc), this is perhaps the only warning light that will come up if even the smallest malfunction occurs.
